Cable connection

Connect the main unit to the vehicle USB data port using the included genuine data cable (A–C or C–C). Charging-only cables cannot display the screen.

Launch on the factory display

Open CarPlay (recommended) or Android Auto on the vehicle display. On the first connection, matching the screen resolution may take about 30 seconds, and the device may reconnect 1–2 times.

Check automatic connection

It then connects automatically when the engine starts. If it does not, go to Settings > Vehicle Settings and adjust Boot and Connection Delay to 10–20.

Delete all previously registered devices from the vehicle's Bluetooth list.

Power the device through USB and check for the blue light.

In the vehicle’s Phone Projection (wireless CarPlay) menu, open Add Device and select OTTOCAST. It will pair automatically. On the first connection, it restarts once to match the display settings before connecting.

Mount on the dashboard and connect power using the ACC constant-power kit (red ACC / yellow constant positive / black ground) or cigarette-lighter adapter.

Self-installation is possible with only the front camera; installing the rear camera requires a technician visit (KRW 66,000 extra).

Launch the CarPlay (ZLINK) icon on the main screen, then select the device name in your phone's Bluetooth settings to connect wirelessly.

Plug Lite into the vehicle USB port (for Type-C ports, use the included A-to-C adapter cable).

Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone and pair with Lite.

It then automatically reconnects to the last connected phone when you get in (green LED = CarPlay, blue = Android Auto).

Internet connection

Subscription devices ship with the SIM and APN configured, so they connect when you start the engine. For standalone products, connect to a phone hotspot under Settings > Wi-Fi or insert your own SIM.

SIM recognition

After inserting a new SIM, toggle airplane mode on and off or restart the device.

Sign in to your Google account

We recommend creating a new Google account specifically for your vehicle (Create account > For myself > Name and date of birth > Username and password > Agree to terms).

App sign-in

Sign in with your own account in each app, such as Netflix or YouTube. If sign-in or playback does not work, turn off Auto Update Blocking under Settings > Other Settings, then update the app in the Play Store. After updating, turn Auto Update Blocking back on.

System updates

Check for the latest version in the System Update app on the home screen.

Turn off voice wake words

Turn off voice wake words in TMAP (My > Settings > A. > Start conversation by calling its name: OFF), Kakao Navi (More > Kakao I > Use wake command: OFF), and NAVER Map (MY > Settings > Navigation > CLOVA > Start with wake word: OFF) to prevent reduced audio quality and steering-wheel control errors.
